[ad_1]

It’s been a big week for Outriders, first with its Game Pass launch day announcement, and now with a new gameplay trailer during the Spring 2021 Square Enix Presents. In the trailer, we see almost six minutes of gameplay explaining the game’s setting on the world of Enoch, where a group of colonizer humans is warded off upon arrival by the planet’s deadly environment and monsters, gaining strange powers in the process. The trailer highlights Outriders’ four customizable, respeccable classes: the time-manipulating Trickster, the distance-focused Technomancer, the tanky Devastator, and the medium-ranged, crowd-focused Pyromancer.

We also see snippets of the different biomes players can explore in Outriders, and get a bit of color on the game’s sidequests, missions, and post-game content. There was also a new cinematic trailer to go with the gameplay today, highlighting the dangers of the world of Outriders and showing off some really wild monsters (look at the big tall ones!):Outsiders is a cooperative third-person shooter made by the developers behind the Bulletstorm games (who also co-developers Gears of War 2 and 3). It’s planned for launch on PC, PS4, PS5, Google Stadia, and Xbox One, Series X, and Series S via Game Pass on April 1, having originally been planned for launch in 2020 but getting delayed due to COVID-19. It had a demo earlier this month that seems to have gone pretty well, with our reviewer calling it “viscerally fun” and praising its decision to resemble a single-player RPG more closely than a shared-world looter shooter.
