Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick heeded the call of farm life with great enthusiasm. Despite facing a significant financial disaster that turned their lives upside down, the renowned couple refused to be defeated. Undeterred, they courageously embraced the challenge, picking up the pieces and embarking on a remarkable journey of reshaping their lives in the most inspiring manner.

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick are still going strong nearly 35 years into their marriage.

For as long as we can recall, the Footloose star and his stunning wife have been one of Hollywood’s most formidable couples. Since their marriage in September 1988, they have been inseparable, and their bond has only grown stronger with time.

In 2008, Sedgwick confirmed that they are as close as any couple could be to being called perfect. She stated, “We always knew that we were each other’s ’one.’ Both of us knew this was forever, and we were going to work it out no matter what happens, so when we fight, it’s not so scary.”

Just over a decade ago, their lives experienced a dramatic upheaval.

Regrettably, even renowned individuals encounter hardships, and for Kevin and Kyra, it occurred in 2009. The couple became entangled in one of the most notorious Ponzi scheme scandals when they invested in Bernie Madoff’s financial schemes, alongside numerous other celebrities. The aftermath of this unfortunate event resulted in a substantial financial loss for them.

Though Bacon has never publicly disclosed the precise amount they were defrauded for, reports suggest it could be as much as 30 million dollars. Despite the painful experience, Kevin later commented on the situation, revealing that it led him and Kyra to focus on what truly matters. He acknowledged, “We’ve made it this far, our kids are healthy, we’re healthy, you know? Let’s look at what we have that’s good.”
