Why is it hard for me to fall asleep?
People have trouble sleeping for a number of different reasons. In fact, there are so many different reasons that people can’t sleep that I can’t put them all into one post. However, what I can do is this: I can go over some common and logical reasons that make falling asleep a lot more difficult than it has to be.
Common Reasons it’s difficult to sleep:
1. Emotions + Running Thoughts – Whether you’re nervous about that speech you have to give tomorrow or life itself, being scared of something or simply having running thoughts about something is probably the number 1 reason that people can’t fall asleep. Actually, this sums up practically all of the reasons that makes it difficult for people to sleep.
2. Not tired enough – The other reason that you can’t fall asleep could simply be because you’re just not tired enough. How are you supposed to fall asleep easily if you’re not tired enough?
Conclusion :
If you want to teach yourself how to fall asleep easily then you’ll have to also teach yourself how to put your emotions and your thoughts in the back of your mind before you go to bed. If you do this, you’ll be that much more likely to fall asleep a lot quicker than normal.
How to fall asleep when not tired
How can I fall asleep when I am not even tired?
There are many ways that you can go about doing this, but you first have to understand that this may take some time and it definitely may take some practice.
Also note that the following how to fall asleep easily tips will not require you to take any pill or medicine to help you fall asleep. These tips are are natural tips that I have developed over time.
Make yourself sleepy :
If you want to fall asleep when you’re not tired you first have to make yourself tired. I guess that almost ruins the entire purpose, but it’s what you have to do to fall asleep for its nearly impossible to fall asleep naturally when you’re not tired for when you fall asleep, you are in fact tired.

- Reading
- Writing
- Taking a bath / shower
- Relaxing
- Deep Breathing
Ready for bed :
Once you are sleepy it’s time to lay down and relax. Count to the number 1,000. By the time you start counting you will begin to get even more tired. Soon enough, you will find yourself asleep. That’s basically how to fall asleep when you’re not tired.
