Eat an hour before bed

Many people that have a difficult time falling asleep at night have trouble for two reasons.

  1. Either they’re too full and too busy digesting food to fall asleep.
  2. Or, they’re too hungry to fall asleep.

No matter the cause, I think it’s a good idea to know when the best time to eat before bed is.

This topic can be based on individual preferences and scientific evidence. For me, I have my own opinions for my own specific reasons.

Eating too early :

You can choose to eat 2 or 3 hours before bed. However, if you do this you will likely be too hungry to be able to fall asleep.

Eating too late :

If you decide to eat right before bed then you will likely be too full to fall asleep.

Finding the right time :

With all of that being said, you have to find that best time to eat before trying to fall asleep. For me, I think an hour before bed is just the right. This hour allows you to digest your food and then still be full by the time you’re ready to go to bed.

Who knew falling asleep easily could be so difficult?
