RuneScape: The First 20 Years – An Illustrated History Art Book Revealed by Dark Horse

RuneScape is undoubtedly one of the most successful and long-lasting MMORPG’s ever released. In fact, the game is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2021. To celebrate, developer/publisher Jagex has teamed with Dark Horse Books to release an art book called RuneScape: The First 20 Years – An Illustrated History.As the title suggests, this art book serves as a retrospective of a game that’s evolved quite a bit over the course of two decades. The standard hardcover edition is priced at $39.99 and will be available through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and various other book retailers and comic shops. Dark Horse is also releasing a deluxe edition slipcase set that includes a new cover, a hardbound folio of art prints and gold foil-lined pages. The deluxe edition is priced at $99.99 and will be sold exclusively through the RuneScape Merch Store.

Both versions of RuneScape: The First 20 Years will be released on October 5, 2021.

This is just the latest in a series of retrospective art books published by Dark Horse. Previously, the company announced The Art of Trover Saves the Universe, The Art of Halo Infinite and The World of Cyberpunk 2077.
