Ireen Mambilima Death – Is Dead: Chief Justice Ireen Chirwa Mambilima has passed on.

Secretary to Cabinet Dr Simon Miti declared the inauspicious passing of Chief Justice Mambilima today , twentieth June 2021, at roughly 17hrs in a private emergency clinic in Cairo, Egypt. Dr Miti said Justice Mambilima had made a trip to Cairo on tenth June,2021 on true business and became sick while on the job in that country.

He said further subtleties will be benefited to the country at the appointed time.

Equity Mambilima was Zambia’s First Female Chief Justice until her troublesome demise today.

She was delegated Chief Justice of the Republic of Zambia on 26th February, 2015.

Equity Mambilima had a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Zambia and a Master of Laws degree from the University of London.She was conceded to the bar in 1977.

Before her arrangement, Justice Mambilima filled in as Deputy Chief Justice from 2008 to 2015.

Equity Mambilima served in different situations in the Judiciary since she originally joined as a Commissioner of the High Court in 1985.

She filled in as a Judge of the High Court from 1989 to 2002.

Equity Mambilima was delegated Judge-in-Charge of the Lusaka High Court in 1996 and therefore, Judge-in-Charge of the High Court Commercial List in 2000.

Later in 2000, she was delegated to go about as Judge of the Supreme Court and was sanctioned in 2002.

Equity Mambilima has filled in as a Judge in another jurisdiction.In 2003, she filled in as Sessional Judge of the Supreme Court of the Gambia.

Equity Mambilima twice filled in as Chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) somewhere in the range of 2005 and 2015.

During her time as Chairperson of ECZ, she directed the 2006 and 2011 official and parliamentary decisions and the 2015 official by-political race.

From 1994 to 1996, Justice Mambilima filled in as an individual from ECZ.

Equity Mambilima has taken an interest in different political decision spectator missions in Mozambique, Kenya, Seychelles and she drove the EISA Election Observation Mission to the official races in Liberia.

Before she joined the seat, Justice Mambilima served in different limits in the public authority including as a State Advocate and a Senior State Advocate under the Attorney General’s Chambers from 1977 to 1984 and as the Director of the then Legal Aid office in the then Ministry of Legal Affairs now the Ministry of Justice.

Equity Mambilima was the Chairperson of the Zambian Council of Law Reporting, a legal body set up under Chapter 46 of the Laws of Zambia the position she held until her demise today.

She was a Board Member on the Child Fund Zambia Board and recently served on the Advisory Board for Women in Law Southern Africa (WILSA).

Equity Mambilima was an individual from various expert affiliations, including the Zambia Association of Women Judges, the International Association of Women Judges and the Southern African Chief Justices Forum.

She once filled in as the President of the Zambia Association of Women Judges having been chosen in 2011.
