Artist Makes One-Panel Comics Filled With Absurd Situations And Silly Humor (50 Pics)
When it comes to drawing comics, the artist can choose to spend hours working on one comic that has quite a few panels; however, sometimes just one panel is more than enough to convey the idea one had in mind. Artist Scott Hilburn proves exactly that with his single-panel newspaper comics called “The Argyle Sweater” which are in their second decade of syndication.
The artist’s work has been featured in LA Times, NY Daily News, Chicago Tribune, Washington Post, Dallas Morning News, and many more newspapers. If you are intrigued, then make sure to scroll down below and see Scott’s work for yourself!

When talking about himself, the artist has quite a few things to say and one thing is clear—he doesn’t lack imagination.
“Legend has it, I was born precisely at the age of 0 on top of an arctic glacier. Reportedly, at the exact moment of my birth, cataclysmic and miraculous events occurred all over the world:
Mount Vesuvius erupted, the poles shifted, rare comets appeared in the sky and I Dream of Jeannie was canceled. Living next door to a nuclear weapons testing facility as a child, I was exposed to high levels of intense radiation.”

“The prolonged exposure to this radiation resulted in the development of special powers such as extraordinary drawing and writing capabilities. After years of developing my artistic skill, it is now time for me to use my drawing powers and cartooning abilities to save the world. There is no need to thank me for my work. It is my gift to mankind.”
